Admission: Adults – $5 | Children Under 12 – Free
Can I get back into the festival once I’ve left?
Same day re-entry is permitted. Make sure to get a stamp on your way out at either gate.
Where is the festival located?
The festival is located on the island of Ocean Isle Beach between 2nd Street and 3rd Street. If you need an address for your gps, please use the following address: 8 East Second Street, Ocean Isle Beach.
Why is there an admission price?
The Brunswick County Chamber puts on this event from start to finish. Money raised from admission goes to offset the cost of the event (entertainment, infrastructure, staffing, electricity and so much more). Any money left over goes directly to the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce (A Non-Profit Organization) to help to build community and support business in their area. How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased at the gate. There are no advance tickets available.
Does Admission include all you can eat food/drink?
Admission does not include food or drink. Food inside the festival must be purchased. Most vendors only accept cash. There is an ATM located inside of Pelican’s Perch inside of the festival grounds.
Can I smoke while at the festival?
We want to thank you in advance for cooperating with our No Smoking Policy within the NC Oyster Festival grounds. This is to include e-cigarettes and vapes.
Is there an ATM onsite?
ATMs are located outside the festival grounds at Ocean Isle Creamery. Inside the festival grounds, an ATM is located at Pelican’s Perch Bar and Grill.
Are there restrooms?
Portable restrooms will be located throughout the festival. Locations include:

Museum of Coastal Carolina Parking lot
Entertainment area by Pelican’s Perch
Note: Restrooms for visitors with disabilities will be located at the East 2nd Street Location and Entertainment location.
Is there a fee to enter the Oyster Shucking Contest?
The contest is free and you can sign up at the festival. You may also sign up in advance by contacting the Brunswick County Chamber at 910-754-6644. There are two divisions: Amateur and Professional. Please see rules to know which contest to enter.
What is there to do besides eat oysters?
Live entertainment is provided during the weekend-long event. Special events include the Oyster Stew Cook-off on Sunday, Oyster Shucking Contest on Saturday, arts and crafts vendors, kids’ area with amusement rides, games and much more. The Festival also features a beer garden at Pelican’s Perch (all alcohol must stay contained to that area). There is plenty to do, for all members of the family!
Is the Festival Handicap Accessible?
The NC Oyster Festival is fully navigable for people with mobility disabilities. Accessible pathways connect the vendor and entertainment areas. Please note the Arts & Craft Vendors and Food Vendors are located on a grass area of the festival grounds. A Handicap drop off will also be located at the intersection of Causeway Drive and 2nd Street. The Town of Ocean Isle Police Department will be at the intersection of Causeway and 2nd Street in order to keep traffic moving and allow for patrons to be safely dropped off.

Where can I Park?
Parking spaces are limited on the island. A free shuttle service will be provided from designated lots on the mainland before you cross the bridge. The Shuttles will run non stop during festival hours. Please keep in mind during the times of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, we experience high traffic volume onto the island. Please allow extra time as you may have a longer wait time to get onto the shuttles.

Can I bring coolers or outside food/beverages to the Festival?
Coolers and outside food/beverages are NOT permitted at the Festival. The Festival offers a wide variety of food.
Should I Bring a Chair to the Festival?
The Festival offers bleachers in the entertainment area (limited seating). Limited seating is also provided in the food area. We encourage you to bring your own chairs to the entertainment area.
Can I bring my dog, cat or pet to the Festival?
Dogs, cats and other animals are NOT allowed on Festival Grounds unless they are a certified service animal (must have papers to prove).
